Fontana Walks! Turkey Trot

About this event

Fontana Walks!, the City of Fontana's free community walking program, is hosting a festive Turkey Trot on Saturday, November 14, 2026, at Miller Park. The early-morning walk runs from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and kicks off at the park's amphitheater. It is a relaxed, no-pressure way for families to get moving together before the Thanksgiving feasting begins.

Walkers are encouraged to show up in their most festive holiday outfits, so turkey hats, fall colors and silly costumes are all fair game. This is not a timed race, which makes it a great fit for strollers, grandparents, and kids who like to set their own pace. Fontana Walks! is run by the city's Healthy Fontana team, and its monthly gatherings often bring a fun mix of neighbors, healthy-living tips and community spirit.

The event is free, and participants register through the City of Fontana's online recreation portal. Fontana Walks! also runs a year-round step challenge with rewards for milestone achievers, so the Turkey Trot is a good chance for your family to jump into the program. As with all outdoor city events, the walk may be canceled due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
