About this event
December STEAM Saturdays: Winter Wonderland
In December, STEAM Saturdays celebrate the season with Winter Wonderland , a month of simple, hands-on winter-themed crafts designed especially for young learners and their families. Children can create delicate snowflakes , explore sensory play with DIY snow (baking soda and shaving cream) , design an Ugly Sweater collage , and craft a cozy Winter Hat collage .
These age-appropriate activation activities encourage creativity, sensory exploration, and imaginative play in a welcoming museum environment. STEAM Saturdays offer families meaningful time to create together while sparking curiosity through hands-on discovery.
