10:00 am – 12:30 pm: Selections from Kumijo 1-6 and jo tori
2:30 pm – 5:00 pm: Selections from Kumijo 7-16: the patrol kata, and jo nage
Pre-requisite: Jo suburi (solo staff forms, as in videos by Senseis such as Saotome, Ikeda or Saito). Having practiced kumijo (partner forms) will be helpful. Students enrolling in the workshop and wanting to practice basic partner interactions are welcome to attend a prior Sunday (Sept. 27) at our Dojo (10:30 am – 12:30 pm).
