Please join us for a visit to the Cheech Marin Center for Chicano Arts in Riverside. After our visit, we'll have a casual dinner at a local restaurant.

11:45 AM - Meet at Cheech Marin Center for Chicano Arts. 3581 Mission Inn Ave., Riverside, CA, 92501, on the corner of Mission Inn Ave. and Orange St.

Admission is free the first Sunday of the month (normally $17.95 per person). We can visit both the Cheech Marin Center and the Riverside Art Museum.

Depending on when we are done, we can play it by ear and decide if we want to visit the Riverside Art Museum nearby or head to lunch.

3:30 PM - After the museum visit(s), we'll walk 5 - 7 minutes to Tios Tacos for late lunch/early dinner.

Metered street and lot parking is available along Mission Inn Ave.

Many large-scale downtown events occur along Mission Inn Avenue throughout the year. Please be advised that street closures regularly take place during Festival of Lights , which will affect parking and drop-off/pick-up. Click here for more info on parking. Click here for parking info .

Additional note: The Mission Inn Festival of Lights will be taking place at this time. We have done the Mission Inn Festival of Lights a couple of times and we decided it wasn't worth it. You are welcome to stay until it gets dark and wait in massive lines to see it, if that's your thing. However, the Mission Inn Tour is well worth it. I am trying to see if I can book that for us but it's very difficult to get space with them especially during the Festival of Lights. I am working on it. Whether we do those things or not, the Cheech is worth a visit on its own.
