- ➤ After San Bernardino’s cultural district bid was rejected, more than 50 arts leaders met on Feb. 12 at the Garcia Center for the Arts to plan a 24-month agenda for funding and infrastructure improvements (aiming to boost the creative economy amid a lack of city support). - ➤ California State University, Sacramento is accepting applications for the Cheryl Brown Gerontology Scholarship program that awards $2,500 to minors and $5,000 to majors.
