- ➤ San Bernardino County invites residents to submit photos and videos taken within the county for the new weekly SBC Through Your Eyes column in its County Update newsletter and on social media. Submission guidelines require JPG or MP4 formats (max 5MB each), proper resolution, and credit to contributors. San Bernardino County
- ➤ The San Bernardino County Probation Department has launched the Music for the Future residency at the M.A.P. San Bernardino site, inviting participants to create and perform original music for emotional healing and growth. The five-day program (open to all without musical experience) includes workshops, coaching and a final showcase. San Bernardino County
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ San Bernardino County grew from a historic effort by Mormon settlers and Jefferson Hunt, who helped create it on Apr. 26, 1853, from parts of Los Angeles + San Diego + Mariposa counties. Its original vast territory also covered much of today’s Riverside County. San Bernardino County
- ➤ Second District Supervisor Jesse Armendarez shared fun facts about the María Merced Williams and John Raines house in Rancho Cucamonga, built in 1860. The home used flowing spring water (a unique cooling method) and was acquired in 1971 to preserve its innovative design. San Bernardino County

- ➤ The County Library will launch Classic Characters Month in March to celebrate storybook favorites like Paddington Bear and Curious George with free family events across 23 branches (including crafts, read-alouds, face painting, and checkout rewards) that aim to spark imagination and boost literacy. - ➤ The San Bernardino County Preschool Services and Public Health Departments are offering mobile health screenings for children in Head Start and Early Head Start.
