- ➤ Rialto Unified teachers and staff cite a $204M reserve to claim the 3% raise undermines support amid staffing shortages, and they plan a blackout rally while urging parents to attend the board meeting on March 11 at 7 p.m. at 182 E. - ➤ Chaffey High School Team Black earned its fifth consecutive county Academic Decathlon title on Feb. 12 with high scorer Demian Carbajal Garrido scoring 8,753 points plus the team winning several subject awards. They will represent the county at the state competition in Santa Clara from March 19-22. Fontana Herald News
- ➤ State Superintendent Tony Thurmond and the CDE hosted a formal celebration for the 50th anniversary of IDEA (Individuals with Disabilities Education Act), honoring support for over 800,000 special education students in California.
