- ➤ The Fontana Arts Festival will take place Saturday, May 17, from 5 to 10 p.m. at Fontana Park on 15556 Summit Avenue; the free event features interactive art workshops, musical performances and art and food vendors—including a sky performance with 200 flying drones designed to create a light show. The festival promises family-friendly cultural activities that highlight local artists and community talent. Fontana Herald News
ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ Ontario International Airport will see 2.22 million passengers this summer, a 1.7% rise from last year, as airlines add flights to 12 domestic and international destinations. New flight services, including daily trips to Chicago and Baltimore, will begin May 22 and May 23 — boosting travel options ahead of the busy season. Fontana Herald News
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ At Fontana’s meeting on April 24, city officials awarded Commissioners Dylan Keetle and Torrie Lozano for their work on the Parks, Community and Human Services Commission and swore in Commissioners Gilbert Roldan, Fay Glass, Ana Ordonez, and Chair Armando Valles while Secretary Benjamin Alba was absent. Keetle and Lozano now serve on the Planning Commission until 2026—an honor recognized by city leaders—who thanked them for their dedicated service. Fontana Herald News
