  • San Bernardino County Supervisor Joe Baca Jr. named Loveland Church’s Jubilee Pantry as one of the top 2025 Nonprofits of the Year on May 20 for feeding over 2,000 families monthly + the pantry has served Rialto residents since 1980.  San Bernardino City News Group
  • The Alexander Family Foundation is hosting the Heroes on Greens Golf Tournament on Friday, May 22 at Arrowhead Country Club. Participants will join a putting contest at 7:20 a.m. before a shotgun start at 8 a.m. while supporting enrichment programs for marginalized children and families.  San Bernardino City News Group

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Cali Binks, the current superintendent of Yucaipa-Calimesa Joint Unified, is campaigning for County Superintendent to support nearly 400,000 students. She will meet with educators, parents and community leaders — aiming to strengthen school programs and local economic ties.  Inland Empire Community News

HEALTH NEWS

  • Dignity Health hospitals awarded $432,500 on March 27 to six local nonprofits at St. Bernardine Medical Center for programs addressing mental health, food insecurity, youth services, and veteran support + the grants reflect a long-term commitment to community well-being.  Fontana Herald News
  • The California Department of Public Health is monitoring four Californians exposed to Andes hantavirus aboard the MV Hondius; two have returned home under local observation and two in Nebraska will be brought back after further health checks (risk remains very low).  Fontana Herald News

  • Grand Terrace High School junior Mia Mezzanatto, with a 4.5 GPA and strong performance on the varsity softball team, earned Athlete of the Week honors after standout games against La Salle & Carter High; she plans to pursue college studies and continue her athletic growth.  CityNewsGroup
