- ➤ San Bernardino City Unified School District broke ground on the new James Ramos Center for Public Safety on North E Street on April 7, with school and local law officers in attendance. The $20 million, 17,140-square-foot building will serve as a hub for emergency response and student career programs and is set to finish in 2026—its naming on May 20 honors Assemblymember James Ramos.
