- ➤ The CalKIDS program offers free, tax-free scholarships to help children save for college. The state automatically enrolls newborns on or after July 1 and eligible low-income public school students identified by LCFF as of Oct. 6 — awarding up to $100 and $1,500 respectively. - ➤ The San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools and the Department of Behavioral Health hosted The Wellness Conference from July 8-11 at the Disneyland Hotel in Anaheim, where nearly 1,000 educators, behavioral health experts and community leaders gathered to share strategies for improving school well-being. County leaders praised the event for offering a strong base for practical collaboration — helping schools build healthier learning environments. San Bernardino County
- ➤ San Bernardino County Children and Family Services hosted an event to honor 220 foster youth who graduated high school, with speeches from Board Supervisor Joe Baca, Jr. and CFS Director Jeany Glasgow + a resource fair that helped the graduates learn about their next steps.
