- ➤ Joe Baca Middle School is expected to cut its annual energy use by over 173,000 kilowatt-hours with a lighting retrofit funded by an $88,348 incentive check from I-REN (supporting local energy-saving projects) and save enough energy to power 25 homes a year (helping the district save over $40,000 annually). - ➤ San Bernardino County and another county are removing outdated highway call boxes because less than 1% of roadside calls come through the devices.
