Good morning, San Bernardino.

As the final weeks of summer unfold, neighborhood parks in San Bernardino host youth sports leagues, free fitness programs, and community events that bring families together for outdoor fun.

City officials remind residents to keep parks clean — a shared effort to maintain these valued gathering spots.

Local gardeners can protect vegetables and ornamentals with shade cloth that cuts the intense summer heat and conserves water; experts recommend installing light-colored cloth in late spring — before the first major heat wave — to block harsh afternoon sun.
