  • ➤ Rialto approved over $800K for its first all-inclusive playground at City Park on Sycamore and San Bernardino avenues — the park will serve children with disabilities and is expected to open in 2026.   • ➤ Assemblymember Ramos donated $10,000 to support a backpack giveaway that provided essential school supplies to more than 1,500 San Bernardino students on August 1, easing back-to-school costs for families. ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • ➤ The Mojave Desert Land Trust plans two wildlife crossings along SR-62 at Morongo and Yucca Grades after 232 animal deaths were recorded in a one-year count—aiming to lower collisions between animals and vehicles. The crossings will offer safe routes for wildlife moving between the mountains and will move forward once funding is approved.  Inland Empire Community News
