- ➤ ZM Trucks opened its new U.S. headquarters and assembly facility in Fontana on August 28—debuting its zero-emission ZM8 truck amid EV policy uncertainty. - ➤ San Bernardino Public Library has partnered with Inland Counties Legal Services to launch Lawyers in the Library on September 9—providing free legal aid for housing, public benefits, expungements and more for local residents. Attorneys will be available from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. every second Tuesday at Feldheym Central Library located at 555 W. 6th Street. Inland Empire Community News
- ➤ On August 23, 2025, the Inland Regional Center and Autism Society Inland Empire held a Blue Envelope Program training at their San Bernardino campus, drawing over 200 participants—first responders and community members with disabilities who engaged in hands-on scenarios to boost communication and safety. The event was funded by LACC support from the Department of Developmental Services and featured law enforcement and representatives from Congresswoman Norma Torres’ office discussing plans to expand the inclusive public safety model. HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Cedar House secured a $30 million grant to build a two-story addition with 70 new beds—construction will begin in 2026 to ease long waitlists for addiction treatment in San Bernardino and Riverside counties.
