- ➤ Feldheym Central Library in San Bernardino marked its 40-year anniversary on Sept. 29 with historical exhibits, music from the San Bernardino Symphony Youth Orchestra, and a preview of a new Animakerspace that will open early next year — the library received a $6.5M grant for facility upgrades. - ➤ Fontana City Council postponed its review of an appeal against a Planning Commission plan to merge six land parcels for building a nearly 400,000 square foot warehouse and will revisit the issue at its meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 14. - ➤ More than 8,600 Kaiser Permanente health care workers in the Inland Empire voted to let their union call a strike—if new contract terms on wages and patient care were not reached as contracts expired on Sept 30 and Oct 1.
