- ➤ Feldheym Central Library in San Bernardino marked its 40-year anniversary on Sept. 29 with historical exhibits, music from the San Bernardino Symphony Youth Orchestra, and a preview of a new Animakerspace that will open early next year — the library received a $6.5M grant for facility upgrades. - ➤ Fontana City Council postponed its review of an appeal against a Planning Commission plan to merge six land parcels for building a nearly 400,000 square foot warehouse and will revisit the issue at its meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 14. The Golden State Environmental Justice Alliance claims the Environmental Impact Report is misleading and leaves out key details on environmental justice + project design. Fontana Herald News
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ More than 8,600 Kaiser Permanente health care workers in the Inland Empire voted to let their union call a strike—if new contract terms on wages and patient care were not reached as contracts expired on Sept 30 and Oct 1.
