  • YMCA Director Jennifer Lopez will waive joining fees and lead tours of the newly remodeled facility on Saturday, Nov. 1 at 11 AM at 808 E. 21st St.—the free Día de los Muertos event invites families to honor lost loved ones with ofrenda displays and offers special membership options including free youth memberships for school kids.  Inland Empire Community News

EDUCATION NEWS

  • During the Family Summit on Saturday, Rialto Unified board members and district leaders cleared up misconceptions as nearly 1,000 parents, students and educators learned about new AI tools and school programs. Keynote speaker Julie Chavez Rodriguez and officials said the event built trust—district plans include debuting an AI chatbot in November and soon choosing a new superintendent.  Inland Empire Community News
  • Rialto USD named Dr. Alejandro Alvarez as its superintendent finalist after a seven-month search and a unanimous vote by the Board on October 26; his appointment awaits a background check and contract approval at the November 12 meeting.  Inland Empire Community News
  • Colton Lions Club is recruiting volunteer judges and inviting Colton High School students to join the 2026 Student Speaker Contest on youth mental health.
