- ➤ Cima is a small unincorporated community in the Mojave Desert that formed along a steep railroad line which rose 2,000 feet in 20 miles—early growth included a store opened by H.C. Gibson and a post office by 1905. The town once served miners and cattlemen and was home to future Congressman Glenn Malcolm Anderson, but the 2010 census recorded no population. - ➤ Heather Hill of Redlands sent in great photos of San Timoteo Nature Sanctuary, a top spot for hiking, biking, wildlife viewing and horseback riding plus the 4.5 miles of trails offer Beverley’s Pond and San Timoteo Creek. Visitors can explore the sanctuary year-round. San Bernardino County

- ➤ San Bernardino County will mark the tenth anniversary of the 2015 terrorist attack on Dec. 2 by holding a moment of remembrance at 10:55 a.m. and inviting the public to lower flags and visit the Curtain of Courage Memorial at 385 N. - ➤ San Bernardino County Public Works cleared mud and debris from last weekend's storms in Oak Glen and nearby towns and remains ready for more storms—crews have set up road closure signs, message boards and other safety measures for residents. San Bernardino County
- ➤ County Public Health launched a new GIS hub and webpage to show how interactive maps help track food insecurity, guide mosquito control outreach, and coordinate disaster recovery efforts in San Bernardino County—GIS Day was celebrated yesterday. San Bernardino County
- ➤ San Bernardino City Council unanimously approved a $4 million loan to fund a new 30-unit affordable housing project for homeless veterans at 1351 North E Street, where the building will offer permanent supportive housing and on-site services. The three-story structure, developed by U.S. Vets and Kingdom Development, will be completed by the end of 2027—loans will be repaid over 55 and 57 years. Inland Empire Community News
