- ➤ At its Holiday Open House at 433 N. Sierra Way, Teamsters Local 1932 offered families Santa photos and fun — Principal Officer Randy Korgan warned that over 80% of workers lack retirement plans, and the union hosted a career day on Nov. 6 that connected 1,200 students to union careers. - ➤ On Dec. 4, San Bernardino lit its relocated 40-foot tree at City Hall, where Center for Individual Development carolers performed and families gathered for free photos with Santa and festive music. Roger Niello proposed Senate Bill 84 to give San Bernardino small businesses with 50 or fewer employees a 120-day grace period to correct alleged Americans with Disabilities Act violations before litigation, but the bill failed to pass amid heavy lobbying & business owners remain hopeful for relief next year. - ➤ Today at Los Angeles Union Station, Metrolink launched its Holiday Express — drawing hundreds of families on a festive 75-minute ride featuring Santa and Mrs. Claus. Tomorrow, trains will depart from the San Bernardino Depot at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. with tickets priced between $25 and $35. San Bernardino City News Group
